THE POWER OF THE SPIRIT

Zachariah 9: 6-7

So he said to me " This is the word of the Lord to Zerrubbabel not by might or by power . But by the Spirit says the Lord Almighty.
What are you mightly mountain? before Zerubbabel you will become level  ground then he will bring out .......

The power of the Spirit is God's power . In front of obstacles , mountains , difficulties that might occur in our lives, the human reaction will consist in trying to use our power, our means. Finally we have only  failure, misunderstandings, frustrations and disappointment because we did not trust God.
Letting God act is a guarantee of sucess then hapiness. Only God's power must manifest itself within us we cannot do anything without God.
The manifestation of our power  can only induces to self glorification. God wants to act , to flatten all the mountains in our way for his glory.  So let him do and let's trust him totally.
In quietness and in confidence shall be our deliverance.

THE TEMPTATION

James 1: 12-15

"Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test , he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. When tempted , no one should say , " God tempted me".
For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone ; but each one is tempted when , by his own evil desire , he is dragged away and enticed. Then , after desire has conceived , it gives birth to sin; and sin , when it is full-grown , gives birth to death "

Temptation comes from evil desires inside us , not from God. It begins with an evil though and allow it to become an action. Like a snowball rolling downhill, sin grows more destructive the more we let it have its. The best time to stop a temptation is immediately it pop up as an idea  or a though , before it is too fast to control  . See Mathew 4: 1-11    1Corinthians10:13 and 2 Timothy 2:22 for more about escaping temptation .

THE CALLINGS OF GOD

God's calling are the invitations of a loving God to rebellious but beloved creation. Being sovereign, almighty and self-sufficient , his ultimate goal is not for us to serve him , but love him dwell in his presence for eternity as sons and daughters. For this to happen he calls us to believe the Gospel. A call that is actually many fold because it involves several requirement.
First , he call us to repent from our sins . To repent is to recognize the evil character of our sins as deserving God judgement and turn from it asking for forgiveness.  Math 4:17
After this, he calls us to be baptized in water to public confess our faith in Jesus before men, angels, and demons. Mark 16:16
He then call us to a life of holiness . Indeed Romans 1:7 reveals that we are called to be saints. A saint is a person who lives a holy life . After baptism we are commanded to walk in newness of life . Romans 6:4
We must live as people who are no longers under sin's power. The bible contains a multitude of teaching and holiness , all these teachings are classified under the doctrine of sanctification.
Now sanctification is the process by which God make us holy trough the work of the holy spirit and 1 thess 4:3 says that is God 's will for us.
Some questions may them arise why so many things or holiness? and why does God want our sanctification so much?
The answer is this . God is holy ( Isaiah 6:3) and for us to live in his presence for ever. We must be holy. Therefore he works in our life step to bring us to be required standard. He call us to believe message, to repent our sins , to be baptized in water , to live a holy life. Leviticus 11:44 1Peter 1:16
A holiness without which no man will see the Lord. Heb 12:14

GODLINESS

1 Timothy 4: 8

"For physical training is of some value , but godliness has value for all things , holding promise for both the present life and the life to come"

Godliness is inseparable from the love of God and its interests , and it should allow to live . However , this virtuel is more and more scarce in God's home . It is valuable to watch carefully three points within Godliness.
-The systematic study of the word of God ( What am I reading? What does it bring to me , How does it relate to the personnage?)
-Put into practice the word of God which has effects in our lives.
-The sharing of that word which is the source of life by observing godly people and the theology of the godliness , it introduces us to the highest principle " Zoe" which is the nature of God 's life and it purposes .

REJOYCE IN THE LORD ALWAYS

Phlippians 4: 4

A king had a male servant who, in all circumstances always said to him; My king , do not be discouraged because everything God does is perfect , no mistakes. One day , they went hunting and a wild animal attacked the king , the servant managed to kill the animal but couldn't prevent his majesty from losing a finger.  Furious and without showing gratitude , the King said: if God was good , I would not have been attacked and lost one finger . Ihe servant replied , despite all these things , I can only tell you that God is good and everything he does is perfectis never wrong . Outraged by the response , the king ordered the arrest of his servant . While being taken to prison , he told the king again. God is Good and Perfect.
Another day, the king left alone for another hunt and was captured by savages who use human beings for sacrifice. On the altar , the savages found out that the king  didn't  have one finger in place , he was released  because he was considered not complete to be offered to the gods. On his return to the palace , he ordered the release of his servant and said; My friend, God was really good to me. I was almost killed but for lack of single finger, I was let go. But I have a question ; If God is good , why did he allow me to put you in prison? I would have gone with you , and would have gone with you , and would have been sacrificed, because I have no missing finger.
Everything God does is perfect , he is  never wrong . Often we complain about life , and the negative things that happens to us , forgetting that everything happens for a purpose.
God is good and perfect ! The song " It is well with my soul " was written by a sucessfull christian lawyer , his only son died at age 4 in 1871 in 1872 , the great chicago fnd ire wiped out his vast estate made from a successful legal career , in 1873 he sent his wife and his 4 daughters over to Europe on a summer trip on the ill fated ville of Havre . Since he had a lot of work to do , he planned to follow them later. The Ship sankand he lost his 4 daughters with the wife being the only survivor, she sent him a famous telegram which simply read , SAVED ALONE......
On his return home , his law firm was burned down and he insurance refused to pay, they said " It's an Act of God ". He had no money to pay for his house and no work , he also lost his house; Then while sitting and thinking what's happening to him, being a spiritual person , he wrote a song whatever my Lord , you have taught me to say . It is well , it is well with my soul. My dear friend a good attitude will determine your altitude. When you look at your life , career , job or family life , what do you say?
Do you praise God ?Do you blame the devil? A good altitude towards God makes him move on your behalf. Just sit down and say , today God it is well with my soul , I am thankful I am alive with possibilities, I am thankful I have a roof over me , I am thankful I have a job , I am thankful thai I have a family and friends. Above all , I am thankful that I have the Lord Jesus Christ on my side. Be blessed and don't be envious or shocked when others are prospering because you don't know what they have been through to get there ( test, trials, and tribulation) so thank God for what you have. " Little is much when God is in it. It is well with my soul!

EXHORTATION
2015 the year of repentance

I write and pray that the Lord Jesus Christ strengthens you mighty in your inner man , grant you to know him and to do prefect will. The Lord has said on my heart to give you this message of John the baptist gave to people at the start of his ministry" Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand"
Repentance is an on going act we perform throughout our life as the Lord shows us our sins we have to be ready to repent in prayer anytime the spirit of God make us sensitive to something we have done wrong. Just as people we told to repent because the kongdom of God was a hand , the Lord Jesus is telling us to repent today because his kingdom is at hand. It
implies that the rapture of the churdch , the wrath of God and tribulation on earth are about to come. As the Lord said no one knows the hour but he said that we can prepare as we see the given signs have been right before us for quite while now.
He also told the pharisees and sadducees  that they were hypocrites because they could not discern the sign of the times . Let us not be blind hypocrites as well!
The storm is coming and the rapture of the churches is soon coming as well. We do not have much time left to do his will. There is no more timeto play dear people but just enough to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. In the context of speaking about salvation and damnation in the gospel of mathew  chapter 7  the Lord warned us to beware of false prophets.
Let no one deceive you by sugar coating the truth, by making salvation and qualification for the rapture and easy task. The Lord clearly said we have no strive know Jesus and know the bible.
The first step to take is to repent. It is those who confess and forsake their sins who will obtain mercy as it is written in the book and proverb chapter 28 , not those who keep on going back to them a thousand times after confessing them a thousand times.
Thanks to God's great mercy you still have time to give up on your secrets sins and serve him please do it today.
Do those things you know you have to do in your heart and conscience . May those of you who are already doing these things continue and teek to do even better for the Lord. And may those who are not striving to do is start now.
Praise God we are not dead yet. We still have time to fix up or improve the Lord Jesus is coming back for a holy and faithfull church, may he find us ready .

 Cleaving to God

In the book of Ruth, we can read about the beautiful faithfulness of a woman toward her mother in law.
Indeed, after the death of her husband and 2 sons, Naomi asked her 2 daughters in law, Orpah and Ruth, to go back to their countries. Upon insistance, we read in chapter 1 and verse 14 that Orpah kissed her and left but that Ruth clave unto her.
It reminds us one of God greatest request to the people of Israel in the Bible, which was for them to cleave to Him. We can read such a requirement in the book of Deuteronomy chapter 10 verse 20 and  Joshua chapter 22 verse 5.
What was amazing and touching at the same time was that Ruth decided to remain with her mother in law though she had nothing left to offer. Only an uncertain future!! How many professing Christians kiss God goodbye once they are not being blessed or face difficulties?
We can and have to learn from Ruth. It is her gratitude and love toward Naomi that caused her to remain. So, let us also be grateful for everything the Lord has done for us and love Him with all our heart by willingly attaching ourselves to Him!

THE LORD JESUS AND HIS BRIDE

In Matthew 1 verse 18 the words “before they came together” means before they lived together because in the Jewish tradition, the married couple do not start to live together straight away. After the civil part of the marriage, the husband has to go away to prepare a place where he and his spouse will be both living and eventually raising a family. It generally takes 2 to 4 years.
In the same way, the Lord Jesus is the husband of the church and has gone away to prepare a place for His bride; please read John 14 verses 1 to 3. He will be coming back to take a spotless bride unto Himself, so that where He is, there she may be also. It then belongs to every Christian to make themselves ready for His soon return.
There is a beautiful Christian Hymn that says: “I know not when my Lord may come; I know not how, nor where; If I shall pass the vale of death, or meet Him in the air”
So, as a season of festivity is approaching, let us not be distracted of what is truly important; knowing and preparing ourselves for our Lord Jesus-Christ.

PAID IN FULL

After being betrayed, arrested, questioned, flogged, mocked, slapped and spat upon; the Lord Jesus was crucified.
The death on the cross was arguably the most shameful and painful death someone could experience. You were stripped naked and the watching crowd could curse and swear at you besides throwing rotten food and stones at you; even dung!
In chapter 15 and verse 23, the Gospel of Mark, narrate that before being crucified the roman soldiers gave the Lord wine mingled with myrrh to drink. But He received it not!
Wine mingled with myrrh was a drink made by the romans. They called it “MURRHINA”. It was given to the criminals to intoxicate them, that they sufferings from the crucifixion might be somewhat deadened. This concoction worked as a sort of anaesthetic, so why would the Lord Jesus refused it then !?
It was because He wanted to pay the price for our sins in full! Yours and mine.
And to accomplish such, He had to feel the full pain the all time!!
By giving a view of the Lord’s suffering on the cross Mr G. Bradley who is a medical doctor said:
“This was the most agonizing death man could face…He had to support Himself in order to breathe. Exhaustion, shock, dehydration and paralysis destroy the victim”.
The Lord knew that all these awaited Him but He did not shy from His mission and dispised the shame and pain of the cross for mankind sins to be All Paid For.
That is why the liar, thief, fornicator, adulterer, blasphemer, paedophile, rapist, gay, serial killer, and all other practicing sinner can be forgiven!
The Lord Jesus, who also is the Word of God and the Son of God, PAID FOR IT ALL IN FULL!
Alleluia!!!
Be Blessed

HOW TO ENTER THE NEW COVENANT WITH JESUS-CHRIST

In the Old Testament, GOD offered the people of Israel the opportunity to enter into a covenant with Him. A covenant is an agreement or pact between two or more parties. It is a solemn promise to engage in or refrain from specified actions. In EXODUS 24:7-8, Moses took the book of the covenant and read in the audience of the people. After they manifested their agreement, he sprinkled some blood on them. It was a blood which sealed the pact between GOD and the people and is called blood of the covenant. As Israel accepted to enter into a covenant with GOD, He promised to be their GOD as they promised to be His people through faithful obedience. The benefits of this covenant would be happiness, health, protection, and mainly Salvation.

In the process of time, GOD sent His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus, to die on the cross, shed His blood and thus offer to mankind the chance to enter into a soul saving covenant.   Human relationship with GOD is regulated under the covenant. It is an important truth to understand. The Lord Jesus, the Son of GOD, took a human body and came to live on earth to tell us the way of Salvation and shed His righteous blood as expiation for the sins of ALL. It has become possible to enter the new covenant only through the shed blood of the Lord Jesus. Therefore, He instituted the Lord’s Super or Last Super before His arrest and crucifixion in MATTHEW 26:27-28. Just as Moses read the book of the covenant to the people, the Lord Jesus taught the way of Salvation to people.

And just as the blood Moses sprinkled on those who accepted the terms of the covenant confirmed it, the Blood shed by the Lord validate a Saving relationship with Himself, for all those who agree to obey Him without reserve.   Now, for you to enter into this saving relationship with the Lord Jesus, you have to realise that you cannot save yourself, acknowledge your sins and confess them in prayer, accept and decide to turn your back on them and on the world, give your life to Jesus by obeying Him alone in every area of your life, and be baptized. It is the true belief in Jesus and the only way to go to the heavenly Father. Will you amend your ways and enter into a covenant with the Lord Jesus, today?

Be blessed

MARCH 2013

A SHADOW OF THINGS TO COME

In the books of Colossians and Hebrews, the Bible speaks about “the shadow of things to come”. Such an expression is used to explain that the Law and Scriptures of the Old Testament were designed to explain and give us an idea of what God intended to do in the New Testament and today.

A schoolmaster is a male teacher in a school, one who educates, guides and instructs. In Galatians 3:25 the Bible says that the Law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Jesus-Christ, that we might be justified by faith. An effective teacher makes complicated topics understandable by making them simple to comprehend and digest. He generally illustrates his teaching with examples and stories, easy to understand by the audience. For example, in the Law, the Israelites were to kill an animal every time they sinned in order to receive forgiveness from God. Because the wage of sin is death, God told them that if they did not want to die, they would have to bring an innocent animal to die in their place; a substitute.
His shed blood would be counted as payment for the wage of sin. Many years later, in the New Testament, Jesus came to die for the sins of everyone who would accept Him as a worthy substitute. He only needed to die once because His blood was perfect, in contrast with the one of animals. HE paid for ALL in FULL.

Now, there is a second and final illustration I would like to call your attention upon dear reader. It is the story of the people of Israel from the moment they were delivered from the slavery of Egypt to the time they entered Canaan, the Promised Land. Because this time frame exemplifies every professing Christian’s life. Israel was under the servitude of Pharaoh and we were under the servitude of Satan before accepting Jesus. The Israelites were slaves in Egypt and we were slaves to sin (John 8:34). They applied a lamb’s blood on their doorposts to escape condemnation and death, so did we when we believed in the sacrificial death of Jesus on the Cross for our sins (past, present and future sins). Israel and the Egyptians who believed walked through the waters of the Red Sea and we did the same in Baptising. Finally, the people of Israel lived in the desert to learn God’s ways before entering Canaan and we are living on earth as believers in Jesus-Christ before entering Heaven.
The major problem there is in this astonishing parallelism is the fact that not all those who left Egypt entered the Promised Land. Only 2 people did! Please do not ignore this truth and fact by looking for Excuses or for “Yes But”. Joshua and Caleb being the 2 persons entering Canaan do not mean that Moses, Aaron and some others were not saved. Please remember what the Bible says about the way we should read and analyse “itself” in Isaiah 28:13 – “precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little, …” It will be how we will know what God says about any doctrine and have the full understanding about it. What God is plainly saying is that, unfortunately, a ridiculous number of us is going to make it! Not because of Him but our unbelief and disobedience. He does not predestine us to go to Heaven or Hell, No! He simply has the ability to know what decision we will make by using our free will. In Deuteronomy 30:19 He says – “I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life…” Once God manifest His power and/or let you know the truth, you choose. Throughout the Bible we see how few made it, were chosen or acted righteously – Only 8 people were saved from the flood (Genesis 7), only 2 people from Egypt made it to the Promised Land (Numbers 32) and less than 1% of those who came to Gideon were chosen by God (Judges 7).

Upon this, the lord Jesus added in Matthew 7:14 that Few are those who find the way and the gate that leads to Salvation. In the dictionary, the word few is explained to mean “barely any”. In other words, instead of saying “Nobody” or “Barely any” you can say “Few” So why so many Christians today believe they are right with God?!! You may say – “A loving God cannot send people to Hell”. Well, if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to Hell in reserve for judgement and if He did not spare the ancient world but saved only 8 people, bringing the flood on the Ungodly; what do you think He is going to do with those of us who do not Repent?! (2 Peter 2:4-5)
Moreover in 2 Peter 2:6 it is written that God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah to make them an example to those who afterward would live Ungodly! If you and me do not Repent, He can kill us TODAY or we can die in our sleep. He is Sovereign and does not have to wait for a Sodom like scenario to Judge us. So dear reader, please be on your guard and do not harden your heart, neither ignore the voice of your conscience.

False teachers are one of the main causes of today’s heresies (2 Peter 2 & 1 Timothy 4:1-2). Do not assume that general beliefs embraced by Christian Churches worldwide must be true, but READ THE WHOLE BIBLE instead; you will bechallenged. And you Christian! Don’t you feel that something is missing in your life when you read the book of Acts or ear about the courage of persecuted Christians in India and China? Let us all be honest then…it often appears that we live below God’s standard in many ways, isn’t it? You see how fast the time is passing nowadays and it could be that you haven’t made up your mind yet about believing Jesus and living a Holy life, with His help. He told us to count the cost if we were to believe in Him and wanted to follow Him (Luke 14:25-33). You may say again – “Salvation is not based on Work but Grace through Faith!” Very true, the Lord does not ask you to work your way up to Heaven but to simply Believe, Trust and Obey Him.
When you believe and trust His whole message you want to obey it, and this willingness to obey coupled with the help of the Holy Spirit produces works like reading the Bible, sharing its message with others, running away from sin and other works motivated by Love, Compassion, Generosity, to say a few. The works are simply the manifestation of your Belief and Repentance (Matthew 3:8).“He who believe and is baptised will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned” (Mark 16:16). “…Provided that you continue in His kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off” (Romans 11:22) as it happened to Ananias and Sapphira in Acts5. So the question is – “Do you simply want to be a better person, do you mainly want to live a confortable live, or do you want to be saved?”

THE FAITH THAT PLEASES GOD

Throughout the ages, men and women of faith have accomplished the unlikely and even the impossible. In the Bible, those who would put their trust in the living God never failed to witness such occurrences; especially in the time of the Lord Jesus. As human beings, we are limited and sometime need the assistance or help of something or someone else. In some particular cases however, nothing less than a divine help will prove to be fruitful; we need God!But what kind of faith pleases Him?We will look at 3 instances.

1) MARK 10:46-49 (KJV)“And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me. And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called…”Bartimaeus seized an unexpected opportunity and would not keep his peace even in the face of intimidations.

2) Luke 11:5-8 (KJV) -- As Jesus was teaching on prayer
--“Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves; For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him? And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. I say unto you, Thou he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.”
The Lord Himself advices us not to shy from causing as much disturbance as needed until full satisfaction.

3) Luke 5:18-20 (KJV) – As Jesus was teaching in a house –“And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sough means to bring him in, and to lay him before Him. And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus. And when He saw their faith, He said unto him, Man thy sins are forgiven thee.”
The 5 men (Mark 2:3) were not ready to leave the same way they came. With this mind-set:
a. They jumped the queue
b. Made a spectacle of themselves by climbing on the housetop
c. Broke the roof of someone else’s house to make a man’s size opening
d. Interrupted a crowded meeting, and Jesus at the same time.

The faith that pleases Jesus is an unshakable trust in Him. A request for help that will not be denied. What He expect is a persisting and even rude attitude; disregarding everything else with the aim of connecting with Him alone.

Laborers!!!…be encouraged!

The Lord Jesus said: “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send the laborers into His harvest.” (Matthew 9:37-38).

The word harvest describes a result, a consequence. It is the product of an effort that calls to action: “gathering and picking”.All we, the willing workers, have to do is to reap the result of Jesus’s work. The hard part is done. There is nothing for us to do really, because He did it all through His sacrificial life and death.“What do you mean?!...”Well… technically, the fishes in the sea and the crops in the field all belong to Him (parables – Matthew 13).
You might say: “If there is nothing to do? Why do we have to fight so much to save souls?! ”It is because there is a liar and a thief at sea and in the field with us. He has come to still, kill and destroy as much as possible before our collection ends (Genesis 3:1 & John 10:10).Satan (which means the enemy) is also deceiving, fighting and intimidating the laborers; that is why there is so few of us(John 8:44 & Acts 12:1-4).
But be encouraged! Our God and Father who knows all this tells us that he wants and can send extra staff; supporting troops. He will do it if we ask Him however: “Pray ye therefore”… ”
It is written in James 4:2 that we fight and war but do no receive because we do not ask.The water pots were filled with water before Jesus change them into wine and the stone was rolled away before He raises Lazarus from the dead. There is something God just won’t do: “our part”.
Moreover, there is a gigantic promise the Lord made for the workers but few Christians seem to have read it.He says in Proverbs 11:30 that those who save souls are wise and later says the following in Daniel 12:3“Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever”.
How wonderful!

DECEMBER 2012

THE WISE MEN
As we enter the month of December, billions of people throughout the world plan and prepare themselves for Christmas. For some it is a business opportunity, the time for father Christmas (Santa Claus) to distribute wonderful gifts; and for others the time to celebrate the birth of Jesus. The Bible gives us the account of this miraculous event. It can be found in 2 of the Gospels (Matthew & Luke). Nevertheless, the coming of GOD Himself among us was welcomed by, only, a handful of people. Among them were a peculiar group of people. We do not know from which country they were from, we do not know how many they were and we don’t even know their names?!All we know is that coming from the East, they were important enough to be called “wise men” by GOD. So let us have a closer look at them to find out what qualified them for such a honourable title.2 TIMOTHY 3:16 “All Scripture is given by inspiration of GOD”

1) They came to Jerusalem from the East.  (Matthew 2:1)
2) They understood who Jesus was because they called Him “King of the Jews”.  (Matthew 2:2)
3) They were divinely guided by GOD.  (Matthew 2:2, 9-10, 12)4) By doing some researches about these men, we discover that they were Magi(s). It is taught that they have their origin among the Chaldeans or the Assyrians.Despite the fact that these men were Magi(s) the Bible does not call them Magi(s) but: “wise men” !Why?! Surely because of their heart and attitude toward GOD and the Son of GOD: “The Lord Jesus”

a. They travelled a great distance to find Him and went through hardship.  (Matthew 2:1)
b. They understood who He was and were not afraid to assume their faith by calling Him: “King of the Jews”  (Matthew 2:2)
c. They rejoiced with exceedingly great joy when they found Him.  (Matthew 2:9-10)
d. They fell down and worshiped Him when they saw Him.  (Matthew 2:11)
e. They presented gifts to Him after worshiping Him.(Matthew 2:11)
f. They were not seeking to please men but GOD alone.(Matthew 2:7-9, 12)

So, they were called wise men for all these reasons and not simply “Magi(s)”; because the Bible teaches us that the righteous and wise person is the one who fears GOD and stays away from evil; and that’s what they did.- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom - (Proverbs 9:10)
Let us also be wise, dear Brothers and Sisters…

SIN

The following study will be divided in 4 sections:

1) What is SIN? (Part 1)
2) Consequences of SIN
3) What is SIN? (Part 2)
4) How to overcome SIN?

All scripture references are taken from the New King James Version (NKJV).
Before starting, I would like to ask and exhort you to pay careful attention to the content of this message. You may think to have a reasonable knowledge of SIN and fail to take this message to heart because of the many studies you read and sermons you heard; Please don’t!If you have read this far it is because GOD wants to encourage you in your daily fight against SIN or speak to you again because you failed to obey so far.ISAIAH 42:20 “Seeing many things but you do not observe, opening the ears, but he does not hear.”It is what GOD Himself was saying about His people Israel because they would not faithfully do His will despite the many messages they heard. In Isaiah 42:20 there is there is 2 key words I would like to call your attention upon: See(ing) & ObserveTo “observe” requires more effort than to “see” because by observing you focus more and pay more attention to details. It is what the Lord wants.

1) What is SIN? (Part 1)
1 JOHN 3:4 “Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.”Lawlessness means to break or disobey the law. The law the Bible speaks about here is the law of GOD (the Bible itself). When we SIN, we break the law and SIN against GOD at the same time.In the past, GOD started to give the law to Moses and spoke it to him.EXODUS 20:1 “And GOD spoke all these words, saying: …”Later, when the Lord Jesus was on earth, He said…MATTHEW 12:34 “For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks”.It is also written in2 TIMOTHY 3:16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of GOD”It helps us to understand that when GOD speaks or inspires His word, it comes from His heart. Yet the heart is what gives you the true identity of someone.1 SAMUEL 16:7 “For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord  looks at the heart”.So when we disobey and go against the word of GOD, we go against GOD Himself because His word (Law) comes from His heart and His heart is His identity.

2) Consequences of SIN
ROMANS 6:23 “For the wage of sin is death”God says that the consequence of sin is death. It means that every time we sin we die. It is what He told Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden but they did not seem to grasp the magnitude of the negative impact SIN was going to have on their lives. So, let us have a look at the multiple consequences of SIN.
a) ISAIAH 59:2 “But your iniquities have separated you from your GOD;                        And your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.”      In Genesis 3, Adam and Eve’s separation from GOD caused “spiritual death”
.b) 1 SAMUEL 15:25 But Samuel said to Saul, “I will not return with you, for you have rejected the word of the  Lord, and the Lord Has rejected you from being king over Israel”.By this time, it wasn’t the first time Saul sinned against GOD. The more he sinned, the less he became sensitive to the warnings GOD would give him through his conscience. To practice sin affects your conscience and ultimately your ability to distinguish between right and wrong. It is also “spiritual death”
.c) ACTS 5:1-11 Ananias and Sapphira, physically and instantly died after being found guilty of lying to GOD.Just as the Bible says inEZEKIEL 18:26 “When a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, commits iniquity, and dies in it, it is because of the iniquity which he has done that he dies.”So SIN can also cause “physical death”.
d) MATTHEW 13:41-42 “The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all thinks that offend, and those who practise lawlessness  and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”After dying spiritually and physically, those who practice SIN will go to “Hell” .
 “Spiritual death”  “Physical death”  “Hell”
e) REVELATION 20:14 “Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.”Hell (Death and Hades) end-up being thrown into the lake of fire. A place of greater suffering. So, the multiple consequences of SIN are:a)   Spiritual death/Separation from God   (Adam & Eve)b)   Spiritual death/Affected conscience   (King Saul)c)   Physical death   (Ananias & Saphira)d)   Hell (Those who practice lawlessnesse)   Lake of Fire (Those who go to Hell)

3) What is SIN?(Part 2)
ROMANS 7 According to this chapter, the Christian experience a battle within his body. His willingness to do what  is right and his desire to SIN are in constant conflict.ROMANS 7:23 “But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into Captivity to the law of SIN which is in my members.”A Law is a rule that never changes when specific elements and conditions are met.Example: In France, England or Germany, you will be arrested and put into prison if you kill someone. It is the Law in these countries. So, Romans 7:23 reveal to us that SIN is a Law.I will now use an explanation given by our Brother and Christian writer Watchman Nee:“In Science, there is a Law called the Law of gravity; it consists in the fact that everything pulls downward. So, if you lift a ball, a car or an elephant in the air, they will drop back down because of the Law of gravity. You may try to challenge this Law by holding a Bible in the air and succeed at first because of your will power. But, after several hours your arm will hurt and you will have to put the Bible down. The Law of gravity will overcome your will. With SIN it is the same thing because SIN is a Law; so the power of our will can do nothing against the power of SIN. We may succeed at first after making some good resolutions but we will end up defeated. There is absolutely nothing we can do in our strength to overcome SIN.”

4) How to overcome SIN?
ROMANS 7:24-25 “O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? In these verses, the Bible reveals to us that Jesus is the one who can deliver us from SIN; No one else!We can doubly trust this statement because of what is written inMATTHEW 1:21 “And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people  from their sins.”The Bible teaches that SIN enslaves, so we need to be saved from it; delivered!JOHN 8:34 “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.”The work of deliverance from SIN start from the moment you genuinely decide to give your life to Jesus (obey Him in everything). When this happens, you instantly benefit from the death He suffered on the cross. History is written again and it become “as if” you were alive 2000 years ago inside the body of Jesus; being crucified together with Him on the cross. In this scenario, the Bible calls the “you” who was crucified 2000 years ago:
1) The old man or
2) The body of sin  Because it is where the power of SIN inside of you comes from.ROMANS 6:6-7 “knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away  with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin, for he who has died has been freed from sin.”The freedom spoken about here is the freedom from SIN as a master. It means that you will now have the desire, courage and power to say “no!” to your former master: “SIN”It does not mean that you will never be tempted again or have the desire to SIN.As you start and continue to live according to the will of Jesus daily, you will increasingly start to have victory over SIN and be freed from its multiple consequences.
ROMANS 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according, to the flesh, but according to Spirit”,                           The Spirit spoken about here is the Spirit of Jesus. It is through His Spirit that He communicates His will to you.His main channel of communication is your conscience and the words He uses are the teachings and verses of the Bible.Every time you are tempted to SIN after accepting Jesus, He will warn you or remind you His will according to the Bible. He will also give you the power and condition to obey.1 CORINTHIANS 10:13 “…but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but  with the temptation will also make a way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”If you follow the prompting of Jesus you will have walked according to the Spirit (His Spirit); but if you don’t, you would have walked according to the flesh (your feelings). The best way you can prepare for increasing and continuous victory is by:
a) Praying
MATTHEW 26:41 “Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak” In prayer, ask the Lord Jesus to help you. You can ask Him for victory over SIN and for a heart that rather chooses holiness.
 b) Memorizing Biblical verses
PSALM 119:11 “Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might no sin against you.”  As the Lord Jesus overcame the temptations of Satan by the word
.c)   Obeying the guidance of Jesus
LUKE 6:46 “But why do you call Me `Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?”
GALATIANS 5:16 “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” Put into practice what you know to be the word of God regardless of how you feel and speaking the scriptures out loud you also can (Luke 4:1-13 To God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus-Christ for ever.

 Amen.

EXHORTATION: BREAKING CURSES FROM OUR LIVES

Cursing in the bible is not only speaking evil of someone,  but evil coming upon someone. If a person in under a curse according to the bible,  evil has come upon him in some way. Sickness, tragedy, or bad circumstances are occurring in his live.
This does not mean that every difficult circumstance we go through is a curse. Sometimes God leads us through circumstances to test our faith and to show his overcoming power in this teaching. I speak about evil curse that comes not from the hand of God, but from the enemy.

1/ CAN A CURSE AFFECT A CHRISTIAN?
Many Christians need to be freed from curses spoken against them before they were saved, or from curses that have come upon them through involvement in idolatry and witchcraft. Deut 29:24-28
We have been redeemed from the curse, but if we walk in willful rebellion, we are breaking covenant and that leaves holes for the enemy to bring a curse on us. Many Christians mistakenly believe that the devil cannot come near them in any way. Paul wrote  “Not give the devil any foothold or a place” Eph 4: 27, he was writing to Christians: if they are in rebellion, out of the will of God, or not walking in faith and love. However, if we are walking where God want us to walk a hundred curses against us would just bounce off and would do no harm to us.  The story of Balaam and Israel gives us a good example of this principle (Number 22)
2/ JESUS TOOK THE CURSE FOR US
Before we were born again, we used to walk under the law of sin and death; but after that we were regenerated. We are under the law of life in Christ Jesus, who became a curse for us. Rom 8: 2  Galatians 3: 13-14. We all deserve hell, but we are not under the curse of sickness and death any longer. We now have power over sin through Jesus. Sin can no longer pull us around like bulls with rings in our noses. However we have to overcome the habit of sinning. God will not violate our will. If we want to keep on sinning after we are saved from the law of sin and death. He will allow us to do so. We need to clearly understand that when we sin, death comes in our lives. Although we are children of God and have been given the covenant of blessing “idols in our hearts and lives can make us being open in  to curse.
3/ BREAKING A CURSE
The way of breaking a curse is to repent for whatever involment has occurred on the enemy’s territory and rebuke the devil out of your life. You should also pray.” Father I ask you to forgive me for my sins and cleanse me from any area where I have allowed the devil to enter my life. I renounce any involment with the works of darkness in the name of Jesus. I know cancel every curse and Father, I ask you to forgive the people who have spoken them against me. I thank you that theses curses will no longer operate against me in Jesus’ name. They are broken right now, by the power of Almighty God. I cancel every evil that was spoken against me and ask you to cover me and my family with your protection according to you word in Psalm 91.
The Bible tells us in James 4:7 “Submit you therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you”
Remember the devil is the fallen one and we have power on him, so we don't need  to fear him. As we use our authority over him in faith, he cannot hurt us, we have power over all curses through our Lord Jesus Christ.  Rom 10: 9   Luke 9: 1
If you have been affected by the curses and you are born again, there is good news for you. Accept Jesus Christ as Lord in your life, you can be free from demonic oppression and actually have authority over the devil and his curses instead of his spirits having power over you and your family.
God Bless you

SEPTEMBER 2012

EXHORTATION:   ARE YOU TWICE-BORN?
John 3:3 " Except a man be born again , he cannot see the kingdom of God"
The big question is " have you been born again? " not , " Have you joined a church?" or, " Are you doing your best ?" or, " Have you a religion?" but " are you twice-born ?"
Life begin with birth . Physical life begins with a birth, and spiritual life likewise begins with a birth. we become members of human family except by birth; and we become the members of the familly of God by birth, by being born again. There is no other way into the human family except by birth; and there is no other way into God's family except by the new birth. Education will not do it. Joining a church will not do it. Reformation will not, and neither will making up your mind to do better. Even doing your best will not avail , and certainly turning over a new leaf will not gain you entrance into family of God " We must be born again". John 3:7
CHRISTIANITY IS CHRIST
Christianity is not religion. Christianity is life, the life of the Lord Jesus Christ introduced into us as the moment we are born again and reproduced in us moment by the Holy spirit. " I am come that they might have life". John 10:verse 10 " He that hath the Son hath life". 1 John 5: verse 12 " To me to live is Christ" Philippians 1:21.
NOT TRYING? BUT TRUSTING
Trying to follow Christ is not christianity. Christianity is not imitation of Christ, it is the indwelling Christ who has done it all.He has finished the work of redemption, and there is nothing left for us to do. We are simply to receive and trust him who said " It is finished" He shed his precious blood on the cross, and the work is all done , once and forever. cease trying and begin trusting ( John 3:16).
HOW CAN YOU BE BORN AGAIN?
Simply , " Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ " see. Acts 16:31 " Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God". 1 John 5:1. you are born again by trusting a person. The very moment you trust the Lord Jesus Christ to be your Saviour , he comes in eternal life begins.
WHAT IS MEANT BY" BELIEVE?
To believe on the Lord Jesus Christ means more than believing the historic facts concerning Him. Intellectual belief about christ is not sufficient. "You belive that there is one God you do well : the devils also believe , and tremble" James 2 verse 19.
but they are not saved! the belief which accompanies salvation must be with the heart."For with the heart man beliveth unto righteousness"  Romans 10 verse 10.
To believe on Christ and receive Him means to rely on Him alone. It is not Christ and the Church , or Christ and baptism, or Christ and my faith. It is not Christ and anything else. We are to depend on him and definitely and deliberately receive Him.
Believing on Christ means trusting Him so utterly that if He should fail there would be nothing left.
A FAMILIY LIKENESS
When we are born into the human family we exhibit certain family characteristic whiche distinguish us as human. When we are born into the family of God we will, by the power of his indwelling spirit, inevitably bear the family res emblance. We are blood kin to God. The preciuos blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, has brought us into this blessed relationship.Through him we have become members of the family circle. There are certain unmistakable family traits which mark those who have born again : love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, googness, faith, meekness, self-control ( Galatians 5:22).
You may belong to a church , or be a church officer; you may be very religious , and great churchgoer; you may be active in church work and be doing the best that you can ; you may be striving to live right and your outward life may be the acme of moral correctness; you may be looked up to , honored, and respected. But if you have not been born again , you are just as lost as if you had never heard of Christ.
Yes , you may even teach a sunday school class or be a preacher of gospel ; you may be gifted in prayer, and read the bible , sing , shout, and feel happy. but if you have never been born again , you are still in your sins and a stranger to the lord Jesus Christ ( Math 7 verse 21,23; also John 8 verse 24) .
" Verily , verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again , he cannot see the kingdom of God " John 3 verse 3"
Be Blessed.

EXHORTATION

THEN WHAT SHALL I DO WHITH JESUS WHO IS CALLED CHRIST?
Mathew 27:22
CRUCIFY HIM! That was the advice of the crowd.
We hate Him.He disrupts our lives and our thinking
 Kill HIM!He is an imposter!
 CRUCIFY HIM!
And there are many today who are openly fighting the Son of god and the church which he established.Have younothing to do with that just man?Mathew 27:19. That was the advice of Pilate’s wife to Pilate.Refuse tomake a decisionWash your hands of the whole affair.Think of otherthings. This isn’t important.Let others decide. This is the attitude of most of our present world. Not open warfare. Let others practice their religion out of our schools. Let our children decide for themselves when they grow up if they want to go to church. The attitude seems broad -minded, but it is hell-bent.“Lord to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life” John 6:68 that was the answer of Jesus ‘disciples to his question «Will ye also go away” verset 67.It was definite and positive. They were going to follow him faith. Thye believed on Him as their Saviour. Millions have done the same. They have found belonging to Christ of greater value than any riches. The quality of the Christian life now and the firm assurance of everlasting joy after death are without compare. “To whom else shall we go?” Do you turn to the gods of science, of wealth, of sport, of lust, of fame, of knowledge, of pleasure? They are not gods. True, they give satisfaction, but none fulfill the true desires of the human soul. None have “the words of eternal life”.Come to Christ he has been found by illiterate slaves and the most educated thinker. Coming is hard. It involves the acknowledgment of God as creator, king, and Judge. It involves repentance of sin. It involves receiving Christ into our hearts and permitting. It involves receiving Christ into our hearts and permitting him complete dominion. But, strange as it may seem, in our acknowledgment of insufficiency, we become sufficient; in our becoming slaves, we are made kings; in our admission of sin, we are feed from sin.“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”   Romans 6:23“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his Name” john 1:12“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come into him, and will sup with him, and he with me”    Revelation 3:20
WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH JESUS?
NEUTRAL YOU CANNOT BE.
SOMEDAY YOUR HEART WILL BE ASKING.

WHAT WILL HE DO WITH ME?

MAY 2012
EXHORTATION: SUICIDE
"Can you please help me? I don't want to live, but I don't want to die either" Many persons in the world ask this question . Recent studies have found that 18-20 teenagers a day in North America commit suicide. The causes of suicide are many!
Our bank accounts are filled with money, our houses are filled with furniture, our minds are filled with knowledge , and our nations are filled with churches, but our souls are empty! wealth, fame and pleasures are not enough to satisfy the human soul. Our souls were created for something more. Our souls were created for God and until we find him, this gnawing sense of emptiness will never come to an end.
Though Jesus christ, who has been raised from the dead, your soul can find fulfillment, Jesus said" I am come that they might have it more abundantly" Jhn 10:10. The Bible says that when you repent and receive Christ you can be filled with the " Fullness of god".
Many suicide notes expose a total loss of a healthy sense of self-worth which every person needs. With the terrifying increase of abuse, physical, mental, emotional sexual, in many homes today, many teens graduate with high marks, but zero self worth. Your ultimate worth cannot be found in your physical appearence, status in society , or materiel possessions;your worth is expressed at the cross of Christ when the son of God gave himself for you. He died and shed his precious blood that you might not know the torment of life and eternity separated from God.
Loneliness is another reason why people end their life. You can be in a room full of people, full of laughter, and full of entertainment, and still feel lonely. Spiritual loneliness is by far the hardest isolation to face. The Bible says" your iniquities have separated between you and your God and your sins have hid his face from you" Isaiah 59:2
Jesus experienced the loneliness of separation from God as he cried out from cross, " My God, my God , why hast thou forsaken me?Math 27:46
Christ was forsaken by God for those hours as he took upon himself our sins and took our judgment that we might be restored to a living relationship with God. To every believer the promise is sure" I will never leave thee nor forsake thee" Hebrews 13:5
Perhaps the sense of hopelessness and helplessness in your life today comes from your addiction to drugs or alcohol. Perhaps the doctors have diagnosed yourself or that special person you so deeply cherish, with a fatal sickness. As you face death , you realize you have no hope.
Jesus said I am the way  John 14:6. Though Christ you can hope, you can find God , you can have a new life. The bible speaks of the living hope that fills the heart of every christian " by resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. The bible says this hope is an anchor of the soul , both sure and stedfast.  Hebrews 6:19
The future of the Christian is thrilling , but the present is filled  with a joy and hope and peace which only christ can give. It is tragic when a person ends their life. However, it is far worse when a person commits spiritual suicide. You do that by refusing to confess your sins to God and look to Jesus Christ alone to save you and make you his child. The way out of the problem in your life and family is not suicide. You see , without Christ you are already dead! Dead spiritually to God , but not beyond the reach of God's love, forgiveness, and power through the lord Jesus Christ who died and rose again. The bible says " But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God" John 1:12 . receive Christ today and he will make the difference.
IF YOU WANT TO RECEIVE JESUS AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOUR , REPEAT THIS PRAYER.
" Dear God, be merciful to me, a sinner, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God and that he died on the cross so that I might have eternel life. I believe in my heart that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead three days later. Please forgive me Jesus, for every sin that I have ever commited and come into my heart right now to be my personnal Saviuor and take full control over my life from now on. I ask this prayer in the Name of Jesus christ. Amen
God bless you

THE RIGHT DECISION: IS TO KNOW GOD
God  is ready to save you   if you are willing , and it's the time to take the decision. The Son of God loved you enough to die for you and he is ready to save you now if you will let Him. I pray that you will wake up now and make the right decision.
John 3:36
"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life: but the wrath of God abideth on him"
If  you want to accept Jesus Christ make this following prayer.
" Dear heavenly Father, I come to you, confessing that I have sinned and broken your laws. I am sorry for my si, and believe that esus Christ came to earth to die for me and my sins and rose again from the dead that I too might have eternal life.
Please forgive me. I invite You into my life, and give Jesus Christ the right to take control of the rest of my life. Please help me to be what you want me to be. I thank you for saving me and accepting me and I pray this in Jesus'name" Amen

EXHORTATION: OH LORD COME QUICKLY!     Psalm 70 v 6
In christian life when we are pressed by situations the only shouting which goes out our mouths is " Lord comes quickly I can't more"
Don't be afraid he will always come because he is the God of deliverance. In the bible we can read that :
When we shout , our Lord hears and comes to deliver us from all our problems.
Why God defers to send his deliverance?
1/He wants to feel our believe
2/To see the motivations of our hearts.
3/The situation has not yet fulfilled it works in our life.
4/The intervention of God happens at good time.
Brothers and Sisters in the Lord, if you are in the troubles be patient because your deliverance is sure.
Be Blessed

DECEMBER 2011
OBEDIENCE IS THE KEY TO JOY
John 2:1-11
Jesus's mother never have seen Jesus perform a miracle before. But she did know that Jesus would do something to help. Now we know that the kind of wine which has used in this marriage was not the same kind of wine which people make today. It was a delicious juice made from grapes.
How embarassing to run out.
Perhaps you are a christian have you " run out of" of something?
Do you run out of patience before the day is done? Is your heart empty of joy or love right now? Jesus can see your need , whatever it is. He wants to bless your life with a miracle! he does not want you ever to be embarassed in your christian life by not having enough joy and peace and love to last through the day. He has promised " And whoever believes on him will not be put to shame" Romans 9:33
But there is a secret you must know obedience is the key to blessing " whatever he says to you , do it "  John 2:5. When we obey Jesus can work a miracle obeying shows we really trust him. If someone has wronged you have forgiven that person? Math 6:14.
Are you laying up treasure is heaven? Math 6:20
Perhaps you think you can't give to God's work. But Jesus knows your needs. Trust him by obeying him.      Malachi 3:10"
"Be filled with Spirit " God says to you today  . Ephesians 5:18
No christian can expect to live a life of joy if he does not allow . God to fill him with his spirit each day.
Perhaps you are not a christian , the life is boring to you. You, too can obey the command of Jesus. Come to him and receive his life.
He said " I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.   John 10:10
The servants obeyed fully, they did not fill the water pots half-full or almost full. They filled them to brim.
"Obeying God witn your whole heart brings joy and blessing"    Colossians 3:23-24
Is there something that Jesus has spoken to you about that you should do in obedience to him? Why not do it today.
When the disciples saw the miracle their faith grew , they belived on him " When you obey God's word and see God work , your faith will grow too".
Faith is like a muscle in our bodies it is strengthened by using it , by exercising it. Let us choose to walk by faith each day.
FAITH=FORSAKING ALL, I TRUST HIM
Be blessed

NOVEMBER 2011
WHERE IS GOD'S TEMPLE TODAY?
Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the spirit of God dwells in you? 1 Corinthians3:16
God lives in every person who has truly received him through the holy Spirit into his heart! Our bodies are his temple.
The bible says"or do you not know that your body is the temple of the holy spirit who is in you? whom you have from God , and you are not your own?
for you were bought at a price , therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit ......
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
How important it is for us to live holy lives! we should never comit sin with our bodies , because if we have received Christ into our lives , then we are joined to him and should be faithful to him. God has every right to cleanse his temple and areas of our lives which are not pleasing to him.
Let us always yield to his cleansing through his word" How can a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed according to your word"  Psalm 119:9    1 John 1:7
Not only does God make each individual christian his temple but also all christians together called the " Body of Christ"
Romans 12:5  Colossians 1:18 Ephesians 2:20-22
How precious is each person in whom God lives! We must be sure to treat other christians with great tenderness and love. In the same way that we treat them we are realling treating Christ. Let us say with Paul " So now also Christ will be magnified in my body , whether by life or by death"
Let us be sure our body-temples are places of prayer, where we talk with God each day and are aware of his presence . Never let them become a " den of thieves" .

OCTOBER 2011
Jesus has a special respect for the women
In both the hours of darknest tragedy and the hours of brightest joy, Jesus showed respect for the women.
During the agony of crucifixion , Jesus tenderly spoke to his mother and gave her into the care of his beloved disciple. And in the triumph of his resurrection , he chose to appear first to a woman another Mary.
John 19:26,27
Gogly women , who trust in God and wear the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit are " precious in the Sight of God.
1 Peter 3:4
When God made man in his own image, he created male and female as a perfect whole to mirror his likeness ( Genesis 1:27). In spirituals things , God gives both women and men the same opportunity to come to Christ and receive the same inheritance .
2 Peter 1:4
" by which have been given us exceedingly great and precious promise , that throught these you may be partakers of divine nature.
Galatians 3:28
"There is neither male nor female or you all none in Christ Jesus"
God honors women so much that he commanded husbands to love their wives just a Christ loved the church and gave his very life for it.
Ephesians 5:28
"So husband ought to love their own wives as their own bodies he who loves his wife loves himself"
God loves perfect union and harmony between husband and wife.
Malachi 2:16

BEING CHRISTIAN IS A TITLE OF GLORY.
Nowadays, who does not try to have a title, fame in some spheres of the society? Unfortunately all these titles are just fleeting. Because one day, we undergo dismissal or we arrive at the end of its exercise, then follow disappointment and sometimes dishonour.

The only glorious title which will never be removed from you is that of Christianity, that which is obtained without merit, without efforts otherwise, because of the work achieved by another person that is Jesus Christ. You are also the only one to decide to separate yourself from it.

Being Christian means being Christ’s follower. It is in Antioch one of the big cities of the antic world that this name was evoked for the first time to those who recognised Jesus as Christ and Rescuer sent by God. He is the grace, the truth and people rejected and crucified him. He died, and was raised by God to the sky and preached to the whole world.

From the moment we are redeemed by Christ, we are worth to bear this name in a deserving way "1 Peter 4:6 but live according to God in the spirit"

Being Christian is not the appearance but the being that Christ accomplished everything on the cross for us. When we accept by faith the work of Christ, it operates a new and real work in our lives. We are Christians in the completeness there is no half-measure or an adaptation to the present century. It is not a title to be put under the table, or to be ashamed of. It is necessary to accept it and to assume it completely and with pride.

Brothers and sisters in Christ you were chosen and established by God what a grace! And privilege, be aware of that.

 Be blessed

                                                     Christian’s reaction
Matthew5: 48 « You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly father is perfect. »
Otherwise, let’s be Godlike. In our relationship, we must react in a Christian way and praised by God. Human reactions are organized in three levels:
Those who live at the level of the reason: anger, fits of anger.
Those who live at the level of the goodness: patience, no reaction, let go.
Those who lead a divine life: transcendence.
What God want us to do is beyond human demands. The first lesson of the cross is not to reason, not to argue. A Christian is the one who must always do well. The more he is persecuted, oppressed, frustrated, the more he rises. When one has his back to the wall, is the time that one must climb.
The more he is ill-treated, the more he is great.
The more he is persecuted, greater is his power.
Human pride does not suffer disfavor or shame, but the new creature that we are can suffer wound patiently, we are happy to be struck. Your willpower is strong and persists on your way; you must surrender it to God otherwise, you will suffer. While transcending, you are going to grow and to lead a blooming Christian life. No material good will hold you back, no contempt will upset you. Transcendence means to pass the situation, to be able to manifest the grace of God’s children. Because he, who offends you, loses his Christian base and places you in it. It’s a great loss to be struck, to be deprived of things, to suffer shame, to be deprived of freedom, to be rejected, to be despised, to be abused, to be swindled. But it is a very great loss not to react as a Christian. God allow all those things to happen in order to show his confidence in you, his will is that, you should manifest his grace, his generosity.
He who strike is weak
He who is able to be struck and to not strike is stronger
He who is able to control his moods is strong
He who is able « to contain » his moods is weak, we must live according to the spiritual norms and not according to the carnal ones. Life needs persecution, shame, and ill-treatments. The greater pressure is, stronger is the power of the divine manifestation. Forgive and pray for the forgiveness of those who hurt you.

God bless you

AVRIL 2011
Exhortation: Human’s view and not that of God.
John 12:43      “For they loved human praise more than praise from God.”

Nowadays, we leave in a world that, all means are used even the most ridiculous to show off. This attitude is more and more present in Christians’ life whereas, the word of God exhorts us to seek the glory of God. The search of renown is an illness that can be cured in Jesus Christ for, he accomplished all in the cross.
So, in order not to seek a relation with Christ, we turn toward tricks to gain human’s approval   thus, we become Pharisees. Searching God’s approving costs a prize which is that of obedience and Christians don’t agree to pay it, being afraid to be rejected by the world or to be pointed as a fanatic and ridiculous. Trying to resemble the world in the way it acts speaks, behaves, as a Christian saddens Jesus’ heart and nails him back on the cross.
What do we gain in trying to resemble the world? Except confusion, distraction, blindness in short, darkness whereas, Jesus has come to pull us out of darkness and take us in the light. Even in the ministry, the similarities with the world are more and more numerous. Whereas, they do not touch lost souls, but the power of the Holy Spirit does.
At this point, it is important to ask each other the following questions and try to be honest with ourselves after this exhortation.
Why are we willing to serve God? By love or just to use him for our personal ends.
Why am I choosing that profession? To be a testimony of Christ or to glorify myself
In the way we act, as Christians, do we care for human view or God’s one.
For a fact, you know the answer because you can’t deceive yourself or God.
So if you are by the side of “human’s view” I urge you to change because Jesus is coming soon to fletch those who seek his approval and not the contrary.
God’s view, ignored by humans= salvation
Humans’ view, ignored by God=total ruin

MARCH 2011
Exhortation:     The virus of lies telling.

A lie telling is the present art in the world, it has become a major problem, which leads to manipulation, control of crowd, and even in the church, it is a virus that is not yet eradicated. Whereas the vaccine has always existed. Lies telling are source of many damages. God’s position is very Clair HE HATES LIES TELLING  and Satan is the father of lies.
Before pointing one’s finger at someone, calling him a liar, we should examine ourselves, whether we are not infected. These are some literary definitions of lies.
-         To give a wrong impression or an action with a deceitful intention
-         To give a wrong testimony or an excuse in order to deceive
-         To create stories in order to deceive.
For the Christians, the biblical definition of lie is in the world of God. Many Christians give their word to others but do not keep it. They speak in the name of God whereas it is on their account, the cause disappointments, frustrations, and they do not even realize that they are lying. We should say the truth with love to our brothers and sisters if we really love them. Ephesians 4:15.
If really we are the body of Christ, we should be like Christ.    collosians3:9-10
There are two roots to destroy in our lives, which are the source of lie.
-fear which make us to be afraid of consequences if we tell the truth (loss of credibility, rejection, disclosure of identity).
-pride: what will men think about me? Then we seek for their approval instead of God’s.
It is not too late to get rid of it, but the sooner the better because Christians are God’s children, and not Satan is the father of lie.
In the case you are bound by a lie, you should sincerely ask God to forgive you, to deliver you and make up your mind to forsake lies. God is able to break the chains that hold you captive, do not accept the yoke of lie anymore for, Jesus Christ has set you free.

Exhortation: Patience

Heb10:36      Malachi3:1       Acts16:23      Romans8:28       James1:3

We will reap at the time chosen by God and not ours. God is never in a hurry, but us. He takes time to do things as they ought to be done; even if we do not understand what he is doing. The exact timing of divine movement is his stuff; he is neither early nor late. He does not miss any occasion to cause our patience to grow.
It is true we do not like to be o tock, and sometime we are quick to act sometime before realizing the abominable mistake we could have avoided if we had followed God’s agenda. Paul and Silas were thrown into prison mercilessly because of the gospel. What did they do?
They play their part:    They pray and sang hymns to God patiently
God also played his part: the release came at the time set by God.
Many situations occur in our lives under God’s control, and also disappear according to God’s agenda. At the end, we also see the good side of it all, despite the pains we went through. You patience also shows the level of your faith; do not run the risk of bringing forth an Ishmael. Isaac alone is the fruit of the will of God, and he came at a time set by God. What he planned to do, he does perfectly.
Today, when you go through a situation in which God frees you from your canal appetites, from your pride and other things don’t block the way to him. God can’t do anything for you when you try to make it by your own means. If you disobeyed him; just ask forgiveness to God and refuse to be impatient.

EXHORTATION:  JESUS IS THE LIGHT OF THE WORD
John 8:12    John 9: 1-9   John 13:25-33-38
1/Jesus brings light
When Jesus opened the blind man’s eyes, he brought light into his life but Jesus wanted to show that he had really come to open the spiritual eyes of all people who sit in the darkness. Many years before God has promised through his prophets that one would come to bring light.
Psalm 27:1      2 Samuel 22:29         Isaiah 42:6-7     Isaiah 9:2
2/Walking in the light
Those who follow Jesus do not walk in darkness anymore but in the light.
Eph 5:8     for you were once darkness but now you are light in the Lord, walk as children of light. As we come to God’s word each day we must listen and obey what it says, that is what mean walking in the light.     1 John 2:11
The quickest way to become blind is to walk in darkness all the time. We must keep walking in the light on else our spiritual eyes can be deceived by Satan and he can blind your minds and hearts.
3/we are light in the word         Philippians 2:14-15
God has chosen us to proclaim the praises of him who called you out darkness into his marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9
Your life must be a light around you, if not we must cast off the work of darkness and put on the armor of light. We need to be ready for our Lord’s return only if we are awake and walking in the light we will be ready. Jesus will be our light for all eternity.  Revelation 21:23.
4/Working while it is light
Until Jesus comes back we need to work while it is light in this dark world one day this earth will pass.   Math 6:18. Those who have not come to the light will pass on into darkness for ever and ever. Math 22:13.
Acts 26:18    when we have come to the light to receive eternal life, we must work with Jesus to bring others to the light.
“Jesus is the true light who gives light, to every man who comes into the world”

TOO LATE
The plane glided to a safe landing and taxied before the terminal Building of the great airport. The deafining roar of its motors died and in a few moments mechanics swarned over the engines , while other servicemen filled the gas tanks.  Some passengers left the plane and others went aboard . In a short time , all was in order for the flight to be continued. The motors roared to life and the plane lumbered down the field to the starting strip. Just as the silver bird took the air , there came the screeching of brakes as a taxi stopped in front of the terminal building. A man sprang out and dashed to the loading platform . As he gazed frantically , at a rising plane , now in the distance, he cried aloud " must make it, but I am too late.,
Some day soon, perhaps today , millions of sobbing people frantic with terror and remorse will gaze toward the heavens into which their loved ones have instantly disappeared at the Coming of Christ. " The same tragic cry will come from the lips " I am too late. Will you to be one of them? The word of God solemnly warns us that only.
"Unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin into salvation.   Hebrews 9:28
" Be ye also ready for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh"   Mathew 24:44
Before Christ coming , you must get ready to meet him, or you will be too late . And before death , you must prepare to meet God or you will be too late.  An aged man lay on his deathbed, he gasped out the request that a minister be summoned. he had lived for the treasures and pleasures of the world. He had scorned the Gospel and bad disregarded the warnings of God's faithful ministries. he has called religion a racket and said that the church was full of hypocrites. Now he was dying and he was terrified . A dark godless eternity stared him in the face. It is not difficult to live in sin, but it is awful to die in sin.
As the tide of life ebbed low, the dying man watched the door and whispered " Is the preacher coming? Not much time is left . Tell him to hurry". There was a final gasp and feeble cry. "Too late" and he was gone.
A moment later the minister arrived but it was too late. An awful eternal banishment in hell from God's presence was the price the sinner will pay for waiting too long.
Now you may be forgiven......... 1 John 1:9
Today Christ stands at the door of your life and begs admittance..... Rev 3:20
Tomorrow may be too late to be saved from sin...... Heb 2:3
If you want to come to God this is the prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father , I come to you , confessing that I have sinned and broken your laws. I am sorry for my sin , and believe that Jesus Christ came to earth to die for me and my sins and rose again from the dead that I too might have eternal life. Please forgive me I invite you into my life and give Jesus Christ the right to take control of the rest of my life . Please help to be what you want me to be. I thank you for saving me and accepting me and I pray this in Jesus'name.
Amen

THE MIRACLE REQUIRED OBEDIENCE
John 11:39
« Jesus said take away the stone »
Isn’t it nice to know that Jesus loved his friends so much?  Brother Lazarus has died a very sad situation. It seemed at first that Jesus didn’t care but he said “this sickness is not intodeath, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it”.
Do you never feel that God does not care about a hard situation you are facing? But God is never asleep. He always has a plan; you must always trust him to work things out that will bring the most glory to God.
God has a plan for you too. He wants to make you like his son Jesus.  Romans 8:28-29. So this is why we have to go through hard times. 1 Peter 1:7. Jesus wanted to teach Mary and Martha that believing in him means we will never die. When those who believe in Jesus die they are absent from the body and present with the Lord.
2 Cor 5:8   Jesus proved also that he can bring dead bodies back to life by just calling their name. Lazarus heard the voice of Jesus calling him and lived when Jesus comes back to this earth again. “The dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live”. John 5:25
Do you have a hopeless situation that needs a miracle? Jesus may allow many hard things to come in your life for the glory of God. But never forget that he loves you as he did Martha and Mary. He may be planning a miracle you don’t expect , but notice the obedience that was necessary for this miracle of new life Jesus said “ Take away the stone”.  Even they tough it was foolish, they obeyed then after Lazarus come forth. Jesus said “loose him andlet him go”.
If we want to see the glory of God’s power we must be obedient. In even small things that the Holy Spirit tell us to do. If we need to ask someone’s forgiveness when we are only 2% wrong we must do it. It may be the stone that needs to be rolled away so Jesus can work a miracle in the other person’s heart. It wonderful that Jesus want to allowed his friends to help in the miracle.
God bless you

NOVEMBER 2010
                                                 THE WILDERNESS.

Matthew 4:1 « Then Jesus was led up by the spirit into wilderness to be tempted by the devil »

Before we get into God’s promises, he takes us through the wilderness which is a place of brokenness, renunciation, self-denial, purification, deliverance and healing. In order to test our faithand search our hearts .There is a change; that occur between the time that we enter and the time that we come out of the wilderness because we are led therein by the spirit of God.
In the school of wilderness, we learn the following lessons:
  -Patience
  -Perseverance
  -Hearing from God
  -Faith in God
  -Peace.
To avoid mistakes, it is important to know that the wilderness is a place where all things work together for good for them who love God.
1-Attitude to avoid in the wilderness.
-murmuring
-unbelief
-rebellion.
Your attitude in the wilderness will determine the time you will spend there. The people of God had to take 3 days to get to Cana but their unbelief caused them to take 40 years. When you accept God’s dealing though painful, you are thus heading towards the exit. God is the potter, we are the clay. If we resist him, he will hit harder and we will go in cycle until we give up.  Jeremiah.
The desert being a place where God wants to talk to us, the devil also shows up, though he can act only within the powers given to him be God as we can see in Job’s case. Job
While in the wilderness, Satan will make a thousand suggestions and mostly ways to take us out of the desert and therefore out of God’s plan for us, his perfect will.
Satan will tempt Jesus in the wilderness in order to make him miss his glorious and redemptive mission. The wilderness exposes man’s physical and psychological weaknesses. It is a place of thirst and hunger which can only be met by word of God and the spirit of God.
2/ We will equally go through the following feelings:
-fear
-worries
-anxiety
-rejection
-misunderstanding
-deception and loneliness.
This vulnerability can only be reversed by the revelation of the love of God. His presence, goodness and consolation. He is the only one who accepts us, understands us, fills us with his presence and shows his faithfulness to us, the only one on whom we place our expectations.
God bless you
